Ho hum, another Friday afternoon. Not got much planned for the weekend except going over to Clitheroe to see my Mum and Dad and pop in to see a few friends, especially Paul Smith who i owe money too ;-)
Paul came over to see me and show off his nice new Mini Cooper and we went to Morrisons supermarket to buy some food and beer. Unfortunately I had forgotten my wallet so Paul ended up paying for the lot :-(
So that's Sunday taken care of. Saturday I will be coming in to work to complete some ITsurvey stuff I've been doing as part of our office refresh program. Been doing long days this week and as muchhaven't really felt up to doing much at night. We usually go to the pub on Tuesdays, The Adelphi but my friend Donna has just started as a care assistant and couldn't make it so we all sort of dropped out. Watched Blade II the other night, not as good as the first, but watchable I guess. Still have Black Hawk Down, Panic Room and Royal Tenebaums to watch.

OK, that's it for today I think.

So, what have I been up to? Not much really. Had a quiet weekend because a) It was 2 days before pay day, and , b) there's some stuff I wanna buy soon and I'm trying to go easy on the expenditure.
Saturday afternoon, sat down to watch the stack of videos I've bought but not seen. Put the first one in. *BANG*! (I have a limited special effects budget, sorry) and the video packed in. So, that was a good start. Watched some telly, coppered up (to the tune of £55 though, hurrah) and mucked about on PC. Went to library and got what look to be good books out including "all families are psychotic" by Douglas Coupland which I'm looking forward to as I have read Microserfs (and it's brilliant) and am currently reading Generation-X (also brilliant). Sod all on Telly, got a phone call from my mate asking if I was coming out, at 9:30 as I just sat down to my tea FFS!
Have started downloading movies now, just for evaluation reasons. Some are good quality, some are a bit crap. Watched Star Wars II : Attack of the clones last night, quality was a little poor but was still a good film to see.
I also watched Film 2002 last night and Jonathon Ross was raving about this new fim "Donnie Darko" (here) and was saying it's the best film of the year. I raise a sceptical eyebrow, even though I repsect Mr Ross' cinema credentials, but a film about a boy and a giant evil rabbit? come on... Then i picked up my copy of Empire magazine and find that they too are raving, giving it 5 stars and saying "all you other doofus horroR directors out there, pay attention, this is how it should be done" or words to that effect. So now I just have to convince my friend Catherine to come and see it with me ;-) Donnie Darko opens nationwide on the 25th of October.

OK, that's it. Oh, one last thing, Sirens on ITV was crap. A pathetic thriller/cop drama and quite frankly I'm sick of them. Male police officers stereotypical to the point of comedy, introduction of major characters 20 minutes from the end. Don't bother.
Tonight I shall be mostly be watching Blade II, or Panic Room (which came down at amazing quality BTW).
